Bobbie introduces first USDA Organic whole milk infant formula made in U.S.

The product, developed over three years, became available in April 2025.

USA – Bobbie, a mom-founded pediatric nutrition company, has launched the first USDA Organic whole milk infant formula manufactured in the United States, marking a significant milestone in infant nutrition.

The product, developed over three years, became available in April 2025 and is designed to meet both USDA and EU organic standards, setting a new benchmark for quality and transparency in the industry.

The formula, priced at approximately US$30 per 14.1-ounce can, is produced at Bobbie’s state-of-the-art facility in Heath, Ohio, which the company expanded after acquiring Nature’s One in 2023.

According to a report by The Manila Times, Bobbie’s formula is crafted to mimic breast milk, featuring a 60:40 whey-to-casein ratio and naturally occurring milk fat globule membrane, which supports brain development and digestion.

The absence of palm oil, soy fat blends, corn syrup, and maltodextrin underscores Bobbie’s commitment to clean, high-quality ingredients.

“As a team of parents, we understand the importance of quality and reliability when feeding our babies,” said Laura Modi, CEO and co-founder of Bobbie. “No parent should have to choose between the two.”

Bobbie’s formulas, including this new whole milk option, rank among the top choices for safety, with no detectable levels of BPA or acrylamide in testing.

The company’s focus on organic sourcing addresses growing parental demand for transparency, especially as only 5% of U.S. infant formulas carry the USDA Organic seal.

Bobbie’s facility supports small American farms, ensuring ethically sourced milk from grass-fed cows, a practice praised by first-time mother Sara from Kentucky.

“Bobbie feels like a smart, science-backed choice for my baby’s growth,” she said.

The launch comes amid challenges in the U.S. infant formula industry, including supply uncertainties and rising costs.

Bobbie’s investment in domestic production aims to provide reliability, with the Ohio facility capable of serving up to 15% of the non-WIC market.

The formula has earned accolades, including the Top Infant Nutrition Brand title from Expert Consumers in 2025.

Bobbie’s adherence to EU nutritional standards, which are stricter than FDA requirements, further distinguishes it in a competitive market.

Founded in 2018 by Laura Modi and Sarah Hardy, Bobbie has grown rapidly, raising US$142 million in funding.

The company, which also offers organic supplements like Vitamin D drops, continues to innovate, positioning itself as a trusted name for American families seeking premium, locally made infant nutrition.
