The system is equipped to identify a wide range of issues that could affect dairy products.
USA – Eagle Product Inspection, a leading manufacturer of x-ray systems, has unveiled its latest innovation, the Eagle Pack 400 HC, designed specifically for the dairy industry.
This new inspection system aims to tackle key challenges faced by dairy manufacturers by enhancing food safety and improving operational efficiency.
According to Eagle Product Inspection, the Pack 400 HC was developed with a strong focus on meeting strict hygiene standards while detecting contaminants and ensuring quality control.
The system is equipped to identify a wide range of issues that could affect dairy products.
“The Pack 400 HC detects everything from foreign materials such as metal or glass, to structural issues like broken cheese slices, or seal integrity problems that could lead to spoilage,” said Christy Draus, Eagle’s head of marketing.
This capability ensures that dairy producers can maintain high safety standards and protect consumers.
Beyond contamination detection, the company emphasized that the system helps prevent product giveaway, a common concern in the industry.
“We provide customers with highly accurate weight measurements, helping them identify underfilling or overfilling issues,” Draus explained.
“For dairy manufacturers, this translates to significant cost savings.” This feature allows producers to optimize their processes and reduce waste, offering a practical solution to improve profitability.
A report by Eagle Product Inspection also highlighted the system’s design for durability and sanitation, critical in the dairy sector.
The Pack 400 HC includes a water-deflecting cabinet built to withstand harsh washdown environments, welded stainless steel plates, tool-less belt removal, and interlocked hinged louvers.
These elements make cleaning easier and ensure the equipment remains reliable even under demanding conditions.
The company noted that the system is built to operate efficiently, capable of running up to two shifts a day, seven days a week.
Eagle further shared that the Pack 400 HC incorporates advanced technology to boost performance.
The system features PXT photon-counting dual-energy x-ray technology, paired with SimulTask PRO software, which enhances inspection accuracy through sophisticated image processing and a user-friendly touchscreen interface.
Additionally, Eagle’s TraceServer provides network-based storage and transfer of data and images, offering manufacturers seamless access to critical information for monitoring and decision-making.
The Pack 400 HC is poised to help dairy producers meet rising demands for safety, quality, and efficiency, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting its clients with cutting-edge solutions.
