The new doser promises to help manufacturers keep pace with evolving tastes.
SWITZERLAND – Tetra Pak has introduced the Ingredient Doser 4000 A3, designed to meet the rising demands of the gourmet ice cream industry.
According to the company, the innovation aims to transform ice cream manufacturing by slashing start-up waste by 67% and boosting overall production efficiency.
With consumers increasingly seeking premium and unique ice cream flavors, this new doser promises to help manufacturers keep pace with evolving tastes.
According to market projections, the gourmet ice cream sector is expected to expand by US$13.96 billion, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 18.32% from 2023 to 2028.
This shows a shift in consumer preferences toward inventive ingredients and bold flavor combinations.
The Ingredient Doser 4000 A3 stands out for its precision in dosing ice cream inclusions, ensuring every scoop offers a consistent taste.
A report by Tetra Pak highlights that the equipment can handle diverse inclusions, such as large cookie chunks and sticky fruits, with the capacity to dose pieces up to 32mm in diameter.
This flexibility allows manufacturers to craft distinctive products that appeal to discerning customers.
The doser also reaches its dosing set points in just 15 seconds, three times faster than the 45 seconds required by previous models, significantly cutting waste and streamlining production.
Adding to its appeal, the motor consumes 11% less energy than the IE3 regulatory standard, promoting more sustainable practices in the industry.
Certified to the rigorous 3-A hygienic standards, the Ingredient Doser 4000 A3 ensures top-tier food safety and quality, a priority for manufacturers.
Its direct drive system eliminates the need for changeovers, enabling seamless capacity adjustments and reducing operational costs while maximizing uptime.
The integration of digital technology further enhances its capabilities, with sensors and automated algorithms providing real-time insights into production.
This feature helps minimize downtime and maintain consistent quality, while the user-friendly design simplifies cleaning and maintenance for operators.
Elsebeth Baungaard Andersen, Tetra Pak’s portfolio manager for ice cream, emphasized the doser’s role in meeting market trends.
“We are continually innovating to help our customers respond to evolving consumer trends while boosting efficiency and profitability,” she said.
“The Ingredient Doser 4000 A3 makes it easy to experiment with unique textures and standout ingredients, giving brands an edge in a market where consumers increasingly crave bold, premium flavours.”
