USA – The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced a series of senior staff appointments in Washington, D.C., with individuals selected to advance US President Trump’s America First agenda.
The appointments are expected to focus on policies that prioritize the needs of farmers, ranchers, and agricultural producers across the country.
Kailee Tkacz Buller has been named Chief of Staff of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. A report by the department indicated that she previously served as the President and CEO of the National Oilseed Processors Association and the Edible Oil Producers Association.
She also held multiple leadership roles within the department during the first Trump administration and was Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary of Agriculture.
Governor Glenn Youngkin had previously appointed her as the 8th Congressional District Representative of the Virginia Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University at Buffalo.
Preston Parry has been appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff of the department.
According to the announcement, he most recently served as Strategic Assistant to the President and CEO at the America First Policy Institute.
During the first Trump administration, he worked as Executive Assistant to the Director of the Domestic Policy Council and played a key role in coordinating policy and liaising with the Office of the Staff Secretary.
His background also includes serving as an Associate Director in the White House Visitors Office. Originally from Tucson, Arizona, he earned his degree in Political Science from Utah Valley University.
Jennifer Tiller has been selected to serve as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary and Senior Advisor to the Secretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services.
The department reported that she was most recently the Deputy Staff Director for the House Committee on Agriculture and holds graduate degrees from Marist College and Syracuse University.
Ralph Linden has been appointed as Principal Deputy General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
A report by the department stated that he has extensive experience in the Office of the General Counsel, having served in various roles from 1982 to 2021, including as Acting Deputy General Counsel during the first Trump administration.
Audra Weeks will assume the role of Deputy Director of Communications.
According to the announcement, she previously worked as Deputy Press Secretary for the department during the first Trump administration before joining President Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign as part of the national press team.
She later worked as Press Secretary for U.S. Senator Roger Marshall and specialized in crisis and issues management for food and agricultural clients in the private sector.
She holds degrees from the University of Florida, Purdue University, and Indiana University.
Dominic Restuccia has been appointed as White House Liaison for the department.
The report indicated that he previously served as a legislative assistant for U.S. Representative Mike Bishop and U.S. Senator Mike Lee.
Originally from Michigan, he is a graduate of Hillsdale College.
