EGYPT – Beyti, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian food and beverage giant Almarai, has been recognized as a Top Employer in Egypt for 2025.
The certification, awarded by the Top Employers Institute, reflects the company’s commitment to excellence in human resources policies and people practices.
The recognition is based on the institute’s HR Best Practices Survey, which evaluates organizations across six key domains, including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Wellbeing.
A report by the company attributed this achievement to the dedication of its employees, emphasizing their role in setting high standards in the industry.
Beyti reaffirmed its commitment to fostering an environment that supports professional growth and innovation.
This comes after Almarai has expanded its operations in Egypt through the inauguration of two new cheese production lines at Beyti’s facilities in October 2024, with an investment of approximately US$20 million (EGP 1 billion).
The launch event, held on October 19, was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Egypt’s Industry and Trade Minister Kamel El-Wazir and Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Ambassador to Egypt, Abdul Rahman Al-Dahhas. Also present was Almarai’s CEO, Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Badr.
According to El-Wazir, this investment aligns with the government’s objectives of increasing self-sufficiency in food production and reducing dependence on imports.
He highlighted the importance of boosting local production and strengthening Egypt’s position as a regional hub for cheese manufacturing.
A statement by Al-Badr reaffirmed Almarai’s commitment to expanding its presence in the Middle East, emphasizing the company’s dedication to producing high-quality products that meet consumer needs.
The investment is expected to significantly enhance production capacity, supporting Beyti’s efforts to expand its footprint in international markets.
A report by Almarai further indicated that the initiative is projected to generate approximately US$50 million (EGP 2 billion) in exports, reinforcing Egypt’s role in global food trade.
Additionally, it anticipated to create over 5,550 direct and indirect job opportunities, contributing to economic growth and employment in the sector.
