USA – Edlong Corporation has announced the appointment of Oscar Gutierrez as its new vice president of international.
Reported by the company, Gutierrez will be responsible for leading the commercial strategy for all global markets outside the US and Canada as a key member of Edlong’s Executive Leadership Team.
According to a report by Edlong, Gutierrez brings more than 25 years of experience in international sales and innovation within the speciality ingredient business.
His expertise extends across Latin America, Europe and Asia, having spent a significant portion of his career in Mexico, Brazil and the US.
Before joining Edlong, he worked with Ingredion, focusing on commercial, innovation and strategic leadership roles that supported the speciality ingredient business.
He played a critical role in leading the Sugar Reduction and Texturizing businesses, contributing to the development of these sectors in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
A report by the company highlighted that Gutierrez was involved in the transition of Arancia, one of Mexico’s oldest food ingredient companies, from a family-owned business to a publicly traded entity. His early career also included roles at Industria Resistol and Sara-Lee.
In addition to his extensive industry experience, he holds a bachelor’s, master’s and an MBA from Tec de Monterrey and is proficient in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
The appointment follows recent strategic moves by Edlong, including the acquisition of Brisan Group and the addition of its former CEO, Brian Vogt, to the Executive Leadership Team as vice president of business development for the US and Canada.
Also reported by the company, Edlong has strengthened its leadership with the hiring of Chintan Shah as vice president of finance and IT and Paul Cole as West Coast business development manager.
These additions are positioned to drive the company’s expansion plans for 2025 and beyond.
