GERMANY – Symrise has introduced Symvision AI, an advanced tool designed to forecast trends in flavors, ingredients, and product claims for the food and beverage industry.
The new AI-driven platform aggregates a wide range of data sources to provide actionable insights that help manufacturers stay ahead of shifting consumer preferences.
The tool, which uses a unique data structure, allows Symrise to predict market trends by analyzing both historical and real-time data.
By tapping into various data points—ranging from early indicators on social media to product launch statistics—Symvision AI tracks trends as they evolve globally across different product categories.
The tool also highlights which taste profiles meet specific consumer needs, making it easier for businesses to align their products with emerging market demands.
“Symvision AI enables us to predict consumer tastes, allowing us to deliver relevant innovations in taste, nutrition, and health exactly when and where they are needed,” said Leif Jago, Global Marketing Manager for Food & Beverage at Symrise.
This launch follows Symrise’s other recent initiatives aimed at addressing environmental challenges in the agriculture sector.
As part of its broader commitment to sustainability, Symrise is increasing its efforts in regenerative agriculture.
The company is focused on restoring ecosystems, improving soil quality, and reducing agricultural carbon emissions in response to the ongoing impact of climate change on food systems.
Symrise advocates for regenerative farming methods, which are seen as a potential solution to mitigate the risks posed by climate change.
Their agronomy team is working directly with farmers around the world to implement practices such as crop rotation and soil carbon sequestration.
For example, in Ecuador, the company is collaborating with banana farmers to enhance soil fertility while reducing carbon emissions.
In Madagascar, Symrise is promoting sustainable vanilla production by encouraging eco-friendly farming techniques.
In terms of financial performance, Symrise reported a significant organic sales increase of 11.1% in the first nine months of the year.
The company’s total revenue reached approximately US$4.06 billion, marking a 5.9% rise from US$3.92 billion in the same period last year.
