RWANDA – Masaka Farms, a prominent player in Rwanda’s dairy industry, has launched its new fruited yogurt line, to affirm its commitment to product diversification.
The newly introduced Mango Fruited Yogurt and Strawberry Fruited Yogurt are crafted with real fruit, delivering a refreshing burst of flavor for families to enjoy.
According to Masaka Farms, this launch represents the company’s continued evolution as it expands its product offerings beyond traditional dairy lines.
Established in 2008, Masaka Farms has consistently grown its operations, embracing innovation and inclusive practices.
In 2022, the company invested in state-of-the-art equipment to enhance production efficiency and meet the increasing consumer demand for quality dairy and value-added products.
As reported by Masaka Farms, the launch of fruited yogurt aligns with the company’s strategy to offer diverse options that cater to evolving market preferences while maintaining its core values of quality and community impact.
The product expansion builds on Masaka Farms’ strong foundation in yogurt production, which already includes Mango, Passion, Strawberry, Vanilla, and Natural-flavored varieties, as well as Greek Yogurt.
Over the years, Masaka Farms has established itself as a model for inclusive employment.
Notably, the company operates with a majority Deaf production team, a unique workforce strategy that has earned Masaka Farms several accolades, including recognition from the UNHCR and Rwanda Gender Monitoring Office for its role in disability advocacy and gender inclusion.
The company highlights that hiring Deaf individuals brings exceptional talent to its production processes, ensuring consistent quality and fostering innovation.
“Our Deaf team members bring unique skills to dairy processing and continue to contribute to the success of our products,” Masaka Farms stated.
The company further emphasized its commitment to supporting marginalized groups through ongoing training, education, and advanced workplace technologies that empower employees to excel in their roles.
In addition to championing inclusivity, Masaka Farms maintains strong ties with Rwanda’s rural farming communities.
The company sources milk from over 2,000 local farmers, creating sustainable economic opportunities and fostering resilience within the agricultural sector.
This collaboration ensures a consistent supply of high-quality milk while enhancing the livelihoods of smallholder farmers.
Masaka Farms’ latest product launch comes at a time when consumer preferences are shifting toward nutritious and innovative options.
By incorporating real fruit into its yogurt products, the company aims to attract a broader customer base seeking healthier, family-friendly alternatives.
