UGANDA – Lato Milk has been recognized for its exceptional quality, winning the Brand Quality Award for Flavoured Milk Powder in East Africa.
This recognition marks another milestone for the company, known for its creamy, delicious, and nutritious products. According to Lato Milk, this achievement is a testament to its dedication to quality and customer satisfaction.
Previously, Lato Milk also received the People’s Choice Award 2024 for Best Yoghurt and Best Flavoured Milk in Uganda.
As reported by Muyz Plus Advertising International, the organizers of the annual People’s Choice Awards survey, over 41,000 respondents from Uganda’s Northern, Western, Eastern, and Central regions participated in selecting the winners.
The survey gathered insights from a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including consumers, traders, and regulatory bodies such as the Uganda National Bureau of Standards, the Dairy Development Authority, and the Uganda Communications Commission.
During the awards ceremony hosted by Consumer Choice Awards Africa, Lato Milk was recognized for its excellence not only in flavoured milk and yoghurt but also as the Best Producer of Dairy Products.
Consumer Choice Awards Africa, known for its rigorous evaluation process, highlights excellence across various sectors on the continent. The organization relies on data collected from online votes to identify and celebrate outstanding brands.
Lato Milk has a history of accolades, having received similar recognitions in previous years. In 2019 and 2020, the company was awarded Best Flavoured Milk, Best Yoghurt, and Best Producer of Dairy Products.
These repeated acknowledgments underscore Lato Milk’s consistent commitment to quality and innovation in the dairy sector. In a statement, the company emphasized that its success stems from continuous product development and innovative processes.
Lato Milk processes approximately 500,000 liters of milk daily, utilizing Ultra Heat Treatment (UHT) technology.
This advanced method ensures product safety and extends shelf life, providing reliable and convenient dairy options for consumers.
The company’s UHT milk is packaged in Tetra Brik Aseptic packs, allowing the products to be stored at ambient temperatures without refrigeration a significant advantage for consumers in regions with limited access to refrigeration.
The company offers a wide range of products, including Extended Shelf Life (ESL) packs, Slim Packs, FinoPacks, and various powdered milk variants such as whole milk, skimmed milk, and instant full-cream milk.
