UDANDA -JESA has announced that its Bonga Yogurt has won the Bronze Award for Media – Product Launch of the Year at the Silverback Awards 2024.
The company expressed gratitude to its supporters, emphasizing that this recognition highlights its commitment to innovation and consumer-centric products.
Launched earlier this year after three years of development, Bonga Yogurt is designed to provide a shelf-stable option that does not require refrigeration for up to six months.
According to JESA, this unique feature meets the needs of consumers with busy lifestyles or those in environments where refrigeration is inconsistent. The product offers a convenient solution without compromising on health, as it contains no preservatives.
Bonga Yogurt is available in three flavors—Mango, Strawberry, and Coconut—and comes in recyclable, spill-proof bottles.
JESA explained that the packaging is designed for portability, making it easy to consume on the go. The company collaborated with Dow Goodfolk to create the packaging, which features a bold fist symbol.
This symbol, JESA stated, represents unity and convenience, reinforcing the brand’s message of practicality and accessibility.
JESA emphasized that Bonga Yogurt is formulated with minimal ingredients, focusing on milk and bacteria, and does not include artificial additives.
The product contains postbiotics, which the company notes support gut health and immunity. This formulation, according to JESA, aligns with the growing consumer demand for “clean label” products—those with simple, natural ingredients and transparent sourcing.
The company highlighted that yogurt, in general, offers significant health benefits, and Bonga Yogurt is no exception.
JESA pointed out that yogurt is a good source of essential nutrients, including calcium, vitamin A, B12, and riboflavin. These nutrients contribute to various health benefits, such as supporting heart health, improving digestion, and strengthening bones.
JESA sees this award as a validation of its efforts to innovate within the dairy sector. The company believes that Bonga Yogurt sets a new standard for shelf-stable dairy products, addressing the evolving needs of health-conscious consumers.
By focusing on natural ingredients and functional benefits, JESA aims to provide high-quality products that resonate with modern market trends.
The recognition at the Silverback Awards, according to JESA, underscores the importance of continuous innovation and adaptability in the competitive dairy market.
The company expressed optimism about the future, indicating that it will continue to explore new ways to meet consumer demands while maintaining its commitment to quality and sustainability.
