Bureau Veritas launches LEAP | 28 strategy, showcases advanced Ormonde facility

SOUTH AFRICA – Bureau Veritas, a leading global entity in testing, inspection, and certification, has recently showcased its state-of-the-art facility in Ormonde, Johannesburg. 

This event coincided with the launch of the company’s global LEAP | 28 strategy, a forward-looking initiative aimed at reinforcing its position as a preferred partner for excellence and sustainability. 

The strategy aimed to emphasize superior service quality and differentiated solutions, aligning with Bureau Veritas’ longstanding tradition of fostering trust among businesses, governments, and society for nearly two centuries.

The Ormonde facility which is part of Bureau Veritas Southern Africa, has been operational since 1974 and  along with its sister location in Brackenfell, Cape Town, represents a pinnacle of industry standards.

According to the entity, It offers a comprehensive suite of services including product testing, inspection, certification, and audits across various sectors such as pharmaceuticals, veterinary sciences, microbiology, agriculture, soil, pesticides, and environmental water analysis.

“Accredited in accordance with ISO 17025:2017 standards and recognized by the World Health Organization, the Ormonde laboratory is noted for its rigorous adherence to international testing practices,” it noted.

The facility has continually evolved, incorporating advanced methodologies to ensure timely and efficient service delivery while maintaining high standards of quality assurance.”

Meanwhile, recent accolades has affirmed Bureau Veritas’ commitment to quality and customer satisfaction including being named a Top Employer in Southern Africa and subsequently earning the Top Employer for Africa award. 

Gavin Hefer, District Chief Executive for Bureau Veritas Southern Africa, highlighted the company’s focus on sustainability and continuous improvement.
