CANADA – Saputo a major player in the global dairy industry, has announced several pivotal leadership changes designed to enhance its growth and operational efficiency.
These changes, which are effective immediately, are part of the company’s strategy to driving long-term success and aligning with its strategic goals.
Frank Guido has been appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Saputo Inc. In this newly defined role, Guido will oversee operations across North America, Europe, and international markets.
His responsibilities will include driving growth and operational results within the organization. Guido brings a robust 25-year track record in the consumer-packaged goods industry, having held senior management positions in operations, supply chain, continuous improvement, and finance.
Most recently, he served as President and COO of the Dairy Division (USA). Guido’s extensive experience and proven leadership will be instrumental in advancing Saputo’s strategic objectives. He will continue to report directly to Carl Colizza, the President and CEO of Saputo Inc.
In a significant move, Leanne Cutts has been appointed as the company’s first Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
This newly created role will see Cutts spearheading commercial strategy, sales development across global markets, and overseeing marketing, brand management, and market insights functions for all divisions of Saputo.
Cutts joined Saputo in 2021 as President and COO of International and Europe and has since played a key role in the company’s international operations.
With over 30 years of experience in branding, marketing, and commercial activities within the food and beverage sector, Cutts brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this role. She will also report to Colizza, further aligning her strategic vision with the company’s overall objectives.
Dominick Bombino has been appointed President and COO of the Dairy Division (USA). Bombino, who has been with Saputo for over 25 years, has a distinguished history of increasing responsibility in both operational and commercial leadership roles across the US and Canada.
Before this appointment, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales for the Dairy Division (USA). Bombino’s extensive experience within the division positions him well to lead its continued growth and success.
Steve Douglas has been named President and COO of the Dairy Division (UK). With over 30 years at Saputo, Douglas has held various senior roles, most recently as Senior Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain in the Dairy Division (USA).
His experience in manufacturing, converting, and optimizing supply chain operations will be crucial in enhancing efficiencies within the UK division.

The leadership transitions also mark the departure of Tom Atherton, who has announced his intention to leave Saputo to pursue other opportunities.
Atherton, who has been President and COO of the Dairy Division (UK) since 2019 following Saputo’s acquisition of Dairy Crest Group plc, will remain with the company until the end of the calendar year to facilitate a smooth transition for Douglas.
