INDIA – Mother Dairy is targeting a 13% increase in turnover for FY25, aiming to reach INR 17,000 crore, according to a recent report.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the company reported a revenue milestone of INR 15,000 crore for the previous fiscal year.

Managing Director Manish Bandlish highlighted the company’s impressive 40% revenue growth over the past three years and expressed confidence in sustaining this trend, projecting an additional INR 1,500 to 2,000 crore growth this fiscal year.

As a leading milk supplier in the Delhi-NCR region, Mother Dairy is enhancing its national presence, not only through its core dairy products but also by expanding its range with edible oils under the ‘Dhara’ brand and fresh produce through approximately 400 ‘Safal’ retail outlets.

The fiscal year 2024-25 has begun on a solid note, with summer-driven products like curd, ice creams, and dairy beverages experiencing over 40% growth in volume.

Bandlish emphasized the company’s strategic focus on expanding its distribution network, enhancing capacities, and introducing new products.

Meanwhile, Mother Dairy has already launched around 30 new products this year and added over INR 4,500 crore to its topline in the last three years.

Future plans include exploring new fermented dairy, sweets, and cheese opportunities, with new facilities being developed in Nagpur, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.

The Nagpur plant is set to become a significant dairy processing unit with a capacity of up to 10 lakh liters per day. At the same time, the Junagadh facility will see an increase in table butter production.

NDDB Foundation launches GiftMilk program in Jharkhand

In other developments, in India, the NDDB Foundation for Nutrition (NFN) has launched its flagship GiftMilk program in Palamu district, Jharkhand, with the support of Yamaha Motor Solutions India Pvt—Ltd’s CSR initiatives.

The program aims to tackle malnutrition among schoolchildren by providing 200 ml of vitamin A and D-fortified flavored milk daily to 1,200 students across 12 government schools, ensuring a consistent supply of milk for this initiative.

The launch occurred at the Upgraded Girls High School, Chiyanki, Palamu, inaugurated by key officials, including Shri Shashi Ranjan, Deputy Commissioner of Palamu, and Shri Sudhir Kumar Singh, MD of JMF.

According to officials, this collaboration between NFN and Yamaha Motor Solutions seeks to enhance children’s health and support local dairy farmers.

Established in 2016 by the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), the GiftMilk program aims to provide nutritional support to children and combat malnutrition.

Currently operational in 11 Indian states, the program benefits 67,000 students across 155 schools, prioritizing female students in government schools from 1st to 10th grade.
