Clover Sonoma appoints John Coletta as New CEO

USA – Clover Sonoma, California’s leading premium dairy producer known for its focus on animal welfare and sustainable agriculture, has appointed John Coletta as its Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2024.

Coletta, a former Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at Peet’s Coffee, will succeed Ken Gott, retiring after nearly a decade with the company.

Chairman of the Board, Marcus Benedetti, expressed enthusiasm about Coletta’s appointment, stating that John is a transformative leader passionate about people, community, and innovation.

“His strategic vision and focus on progress make him the ideal person to lead us to new heights. I am confident our employees, network of local family farm partners, and beloved Clover brand will thrive under his leadership,” he said.

Coletta brings 35 years of experience in the global consumer packaged goods (CPG), food service, and beverage industries, having held senior leadership positions at prominent brands such as Peet’s Coffee, Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, and Quiznos.

His expertise in strategic expansion, operational excellence, and financial management has been instrumental in his previous roles.

As CEO, Coletta plans to continue championing the pivotal role of local, conscious dairy production in communities. He will focus on expanding Clover’s presence, ensuring that Californians have access to its premium, high-quality dairy products.

Based in Petaluma, in Sonoma County, Clover Sonoma is one of California’s largest regenerative dairy producers.
